The Minneapolis Public Works Department will hold a public meeting on Monday, June 29th at 6:30 pm at Harrison Park Recreation Center ( 503 Irving Avenue N ) to discuss proposed striping and signing changes to install bicycle lanes on Glenwood Avenue between Xerxes and Royalston Avenues.

On June 30th, 2009 David Phillips (not verified) said:

The bike lane from Cedar Lake Road to Aldrich should be located on the south side of 2nd Ave North, not on Glenwood. If it is located on Glenwood it will impact parking and discourage future retail development. There already is no parking on much of 2nd Ave. This street is guided toward office and retail with on street parking is not planned.
