Comparative study: senior cycling

A study comparing rates of walking and cycling across the Netherlands, Germany and the US. Among the study's findings:

  • Almost one half (49%) of all trips made by Dutch seniors 65 or older are made by bicycle.
  • Almost one in five trips (18%) made by German seniors are by bicycle.
  • In the US, only about 0.2% of senior trips are by bike.
