Park(ing) Day Returns to the Twin Cities

Description: 

In celebration of National Park(ing) Day  artists and advocates from Minneapolis and St. Paul will once again transform city parking spots into temporary urban parks, highlighting the power of even the smallest gathering spaces to encourage walkable, livable communities.  Park(ing) Day projects will be clustered in Downtown Minneapolis and St. Paul.  Guided bike and walk tours will visit Park(ing) Day projects, as well as some of our existing city parks.  

A Park(ing) Day Community Gathering will be held from 5 - 8pm at the Downtown Minneapolis offices of Community Design Group. This gathering, co-hosted by Community Design Group and Solutions Twin Cities , will be a chance to meet Park(ing) Day artists and advocates and to learn how to get involved with efforts to transform our communities into more walkable, bikeable and livable places.
